New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Some key information about our church services...

Where & when do the services take place?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for our weekly morning service. Aim to arrive early to ensure you get a parking space in time for the service to start.

We meet at:
The Church of the Good Shepherd
Sand Hill
GU14 8ER

Please note that there is limited parking available on the site.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. The services last about an hour and a half and are made up of songs, Bible readings, prayers and a talk.
Tea & coffee are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

How are the children involved at church?

Children stay with their parents at the start of the 10.30am service as we worship together for the first few songs. Someone will announce when the children should go out to their groups. You will need to go with your children for the first time to register them.
For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups under the 'church life' section of our website.

Is there a dress code?

No. Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not if you don't want to. You are free to simply watch or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?.

Please feel free to contact us. If you want to know who works in the church office, check out our Staff page.
