The Community Project

The Community Project is for everyone who lives in our community irrespective of race, religion, disability or sexual orientation. The Project consists of a number of regular activities, plus others that are responses to particular needs of individuals.

The aims of the Project are:

  • To develop a network of care amongst the local community and caring professionals, motivated by practical Christian concern;
  • To provide a channel through which people can give and receive time, money, skills and things to improve the lives of local people;
  • To create bridges between the community and the church so that local people can experience the love of Christ.

  • Rainbow Parent & Toddler Group
  • SPOT( Supporting Parents of Teenagers) Parenting Courses
  • Annual Pancake Party, Advent Craft afternoon and Community Carol Service.

  • Pit Stop, Drop In

Practical Support

  • The Larder (emergency food store)
  • Furniture (emergency furniture store)

We also work with individuals in our community, assisting them in obtaining the help they need. This can include signposting them to other agencies, helping them complete forms and assisting them in presenting their needs to other agencies.
